FRISCO

Yesterday we received a phone call from the Humane Society in Colorado Springs.  A small black dog with brown markings had been brought in.  This dog was scanned and found to have a microchip.  It was registered to SAINT Animal Rescue.  We were able to immediately identify the dog as Frisco.  We contacted the new adoptive owners. They were happy that Frisco was found.  Seems Frisco got away from them 2 days after he was adopted. Frisco, as it turns out, was brought into the Humane Society injured. The new owners signed a surrender form as they could not pay for his medical care. SAINT picked up Frisco this morning and brought him to our Vet.

We were informed that Frisco’s spine was severed. This little 5 month old dog lost his life today. We do not know what actually happened to him and of course we never will. We think that he was hit by a car as he was found on the side of the road by Mr. Casey Owen. Mr. Owen called SAINT Animal Rescue this afternoon to inquire about Frisco. Casey wanted to adopt Frisco and give him the life that he deserved. Thank you Mr. Casey Owen for caring, thank you for being there for little Frisco. We need more people like you in this world. 

Frisco and his brother and sister had a sad start to their life. They were dumped on the side of a road but then found their way to a kind hearted lady who was able to keep them for awhile but she could not handle all three of them so she contacted SAINT Animal Rescue and we brought them into our hearts.  

SAINT Animal Rescue was never notified of Frisco running away. Had we been notified we would have been able to put his picture on the website as lost. Would this have helped Frisco? Another thing that we will never know but he would have had a chance.
