SAINT Animal Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Federal charity and licensed PACFA animal rescue.
We Are A No Kill Animal Rescue

SAINT Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization in the early stages of developing a protocol to help animals in Eastern El Paso County. The need for this organization is immense and extremely critical. The Pikes Peak Regional Humane Society (PPRHS) resources are stretched very thin when they assist the sheriff with the animal welfare cases in their "out of contract" area. With the help of the El Paso County Sheriff's office and the PPRHS, SAINT Animal Rescue would like to provide the services of our professional volunteers and support organizations to help fill in the gap. All the area in white on the map to the right is the "out of contract" area for the PPRHS (1456 sq miles/nearly 90,000 acres) for which SAINT is providing services. Visit the "How SAINT Began" link on the left to find out why this organization is so critical to help protect the animals of Eastern El Paso County against the problems of animal neglect and abuse.

Want to help but aren't sure how?
     You can help by fostering!

Helping pets in need doesn’t always mean donating money (although this is always appreciated too). Fostering an animal is also a very generous way to support our rescue organization and help animals get ready for their forever home.

You would be responsible for the fundamental daily care of your foster pet in your home. It would be your job to shower the foster animal with the love and attention they need to prepare them for adoption into their forever home. Our rescue will provide the proper food and transportation to appointments.

When the foster animal is ready to meet the world once again we would pick the foster animal up from your home every Saturday morning to attend an adoption fair.  If the animal does not find their forever home that day they will be returned to your home.  We would continue to advertise in local newspapers and on our website to find them their home.  Often the animal finds their special family quickly but sometimes it takes a little longer.  All this is based on the individual needs of the animal.

Fostering an animal isn’t always the easiest thing to do.  It takes patience; we don’t know what their life was like before they came to us for help.  It is difficult to say goodbye when they are adopted but you must remember there is another sweet furry foster waiting around the corner for your help too.

If you are interested in helping, please give us a call at (719) 541-3099 or email us at jerry@saintanimalrescue.org with your questions.

Little Diamond
Diamond, an older Maltese, was rescued from a local puppy mill in June of 2008.  Diamond was used for breeding all her adult life and lived in a cage all of her life.  Diamond was also blind.  She stayed with SAINT Animal Rescue for many months.   Jerry and I knew she would be with us for a long time because it does take a very special kind of person to adopt a special needs dog.
Then one day someone special came along and adopted Diamond and that family gave her all the love and attention she could ever dream of knowing.
Thank you Bob, Pam and critters for caring!

SAINT Animal Rescue

Diamond was our special little dog who was rescued last year.  She was a severely impacted Maltese that spent eight years of her life in a puppy mill cage.  We were very lucky to have her in our lives for the time that she had left.  She spent many happy times with us and with our little dogs.  She especially liked our blind miniature poodle. Diamond had gotten much worse a little over a month ago and was suffering. Up until that point, she had a very good life with us.  We will miss her, but we know she must be in a better place now.

Bob, Pam, and our dogs Max, Morgen and Charlie
